Marine Unit Awards
In March of 2010, at the 2010 Region Two Summit and Second Brigade Muster, the 631st Marine Strike Group, “The Fighting Ospreys,” was honored as “Unit of the Year” in the Second Brigade. The unit was awarded the Legion of Valor for outstanding performance in the previous year. Also, the 631st MSG was honored for the second year in a row with the Meritorious Unit Citation for their community service efforts in the previous year. Each member of the 631st MSG may proudly wear these ribbons on their uniform in recognition for these awards, plus streamers have been added to the unit’s guidon.
Vessel Readiness Certification Program
The USS Tiberius has completed STARFLEET Academy’s Vessel Readiness Certification Program (VRCP). In the ages before starships roamed space, the US Navy required that each of its ships pass a series of tests or drills in order to become certified for sea duty. A Starship, Space Station, or other Vessel should also pass inspection before it is put into service. Each department and ultimately the entire vessel can earn its certification.
This series of certifications is to be earned through the efforts of the entire crew of a STARFLEET Vessel (hereafter referred to as “Ship”.) The purpose of this program is to combine the efforts of STARFLEET crews taking Academy classes (SFA or SFMCA). In the past, members took classes individually for their own edification, receiving promotion points for earning each diploma. (OTS and OCC were the only Academy courses that affected the entire Vessel.) The VRCP is designed to provide a platform in which Starfleet members can pool their diplomas for the good of the ship.
The Tiberius has certified in seven departments. Click each link below to see our certificates.
